What is Immomio?+

Immomio is a portal for searching and applying for flats. Unlike traditional property portals, you do not have to actively search for flats on Immomio – instead, you receive suggestions directly from landlords. You stay in control of your data, as your profile is shared step by step, depending on the stage of your application.

I found a flat on a property portal and have been asked to apply via Immomio. Why?+

Landlords who use Immomio can also publish their flats on their own website or on property portals. If you want to apply for a publicly advertised flat, you need to create an Immomio profile or submit a “guest application”.

Do I have to register with Immomio?+

If you want to create a search profile to receive flat offers, you need to create an Immomio account. If you want to apply for a publicly advertised flat, you can submit a “guest application”. In this case, your data is only collected for that particular application and is deleted automatically afterwards.

Does the landlord have access to my data at all times?+

Your data is shared in a three-stage process in line with the requirements of the German Data Protection Conference (Datenschutzkonferenz, DSK). You can also withdraw your consent at any time, after which the landlord can no longer view your data. This way, you stay in full control of your data.

Where do the flat offers come from?+

Once you have created a search profile, you simply wait for suitable flat suggestions. You receive these suggestions directly from landlords. All of our providers are professional landlords. It is therefore best to ask any questions about the properties directly to the landlord at the viewing or via the chat.

I have a housing entitlement certificate (WBS). Will it be taken into account?+

In your search profile, you can state that you hold a housing entitlement certificate (Wohnberechtigungsschein, WBS). You can also upload it directly. This shows landlords who let WBS-restricted flats that you qualify for these flats.

How and when will I hear back?+

When you are contacted after applying depends on the landlord, so we cannot give you a fixed time frame. Normally, you will hear back soon after applying if the landlord is still interested. You will always be notified of any changes in the application process by email, so you can respond straight away.

Where can I see my applications?+

Once you have applied for a flat, it is listed in your Immomio profile under “Applications”. You can check the status of your application there at any time. In addition, you will always receive updates on changes in your application process by email.

How do I delete my tenant profile?+

To delete your profile, simply select “Delete account” in the “Settings” section. Please note that this will withdraw all open applications and permanently delete your data.

Do I need to bring my documents to the viewing?+

In principle, you can provide all documents and details in your profile. The landlord can then view them via Immomio. With Immomio, you no longer need to bring printed copies of all your documents to the appointment. However, you are still free to do so.
