Answered in brief.
When do I have to give notice on my old tenancy?+
Unless otherwise agreed, your written notice must reach the landlord no later than three months before the end of the tenancy.
How quickly do I have to register my new address after moving?+
Within two weeks of moving in, at the residents’ registration office of your new place of residence – in person or through an authorised representative, with your ID card and the landlord’s confirmation of residence.
When does the flat handover take place?+
Legally, on the last day of the tenancy; if this falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, on the following working day. In practice, handovers are often arranged a few days before or after.
