Immomio supports DESWOS in a housing project for 7,000 people in Lilongwe, Malawi, and is a member of the Team Hamburg Business Club of the Stiftung Leistungssport Hamburg.
As a young proptech company, we work in an industry that is deeply rooted in society and bears responsibility for people and communities. We take this responsibility seriously in our day-to-day work – and want to make a difference beyond it, too.
A success story with DESWOS.
Our collaboration with DESWOS – Deutsche Entwicklungshilfe für soziales Wohnungs- und Siedlungswesen e.V. began with our Christmas campaign in 2023. With an interactive prize draw, we were able not only to raise awareness of important social issues but also to collect donations.
We topped up the amount collected to €10,000.00 and handed it over officially with a ceremonial cheque presentation at ImmomioCon 2024.
Since then, DESWOS has been more than a partner for us – it has become an important part of our commitment. Its work for decent housing, education and sustainable development in disadvantaged regions of the world has inspired and motivated us to stand by its side for the long term.

DESWOS is a non-profit association. Its mission is to fight housing shortages and poverty in the Global South – through self-help for families in need, for example in building homes and schools, securing water supplies and safeguarding their livelihoods.

Our donation to DESWOS supports the project for 7,000 slum residents in Lilongwe, Malawi. The aim is to create decent living conditions and improve people’s lives sustainably – in a city facing enormous challenges from urbanisation and climate crises.

A success story with the Stiftung Leistungssport.
As a member of the Team Hamburg Business Club, we actively support elite sport in our city. This commitment is especially close to our hearts because our managing director Nicolas Jacobi was himself a funded athlete as goalkeeper of the German national hockey team. With his experience and passion, he wants to give something back to sport and help young talents on their way to sporting and personal success.
Together with the Stiftung Leistungssport Hamburg, we help to give athletes the best possible conditions. Sport conveys values such as team spirit, fairness and perseverance – qualities that play a central role not only in sport but also in society.
With this partnership, we want to help strengthen Hamburg as a location for elite sport and give young talents a promising future.
