The two software companies Immomio and DIT are joining forces to form Germany’s largest proptech in the housing industry.
Hamburg, 1 September 2021 – Immomio, provider of a digital letting platform, and DIT, provider of tenant apps, have merged their companies with signing on 31 August 2021. The merger creates Germany’s largest proptech in the housing industry, with more than 1.4 million rental units under management.
Nicolas Jacobi, co-founder and Managing Director of Immomio, is delighted about the potential this creates: “In several joint customer projects, our companies have already demonstrated the added value that linking our products brings to landlords and tenants. By joining forces, we will be able to set a new standard for the digital customer experience in the industry.” In future, tenants will be able to handle all communication with their landlord digitally via a single interface – from the flat search and signing the tenancy agreement through to moving out.
DIT will continue to operate in the market as a wholly owned subsidiary of Immomio GmbH under its own brand and under the leadership of its founder Kai Teute. At the same time, Kai Teute is joining the advisory board and becoming a shareholder in the new combined Immomio company: “By restructuring Immomio’s group of shareholders, we have laid the foundation for establishing ourselves as the market-leading platform for the digitalisation of real estate in Europe. With the now enlarged Immomio founding team and our long-term, strategic investors, we have the optimal set-up to achieve our goals.” The aim is, in particular, to develop new digital products for real estate companies and to digitalise further processes.
The restructuring of the group of shareholders also includes the entry of W&W brandpool GmbH, which has taken over the shares held by Aareon Deutschland GmbH and is providing Immomio with additional growth capital. The cooperation with Aareon, which has existed since 2017, will continue.
