Immomio extends its portfolio with digital payments

Hamburg, 31 January 2023: Hamburg-based Immomio GmbH is extending its product portfolio with digital payment methods for tenants. The new Digital Payments & Deposits module helps landlords and tenants process payments related to the tenancy quickly. With this extension, the Hamburg company adds a further component to its 360-degree platform.
Since 2015, Immomio has pursued the vision of digitalising the entire life cycle of properties. With its digital letting solution of the same name, the proptech not only helps the housing industry digitalise its letting and sales processes, but has since extended its offering with a tenant app, among other things, whose range of functions is constantly growing. Since January, customers have also been able to use the Digital Payments & Deposits module. It allows landlords to show their tenants payment requests, for example for deposit payments, which can then be settled directly online.
Landlords and tenants benefit
The digital payment option brings numerous advantages for landlords and tenants. Landlords save valuable resources thanks to simple monitoring of incoming payments and fully automated payment posting, while tenants can settle their outstanding payments with just one click via direct debit, PayPal, credit card and other payment methods. Doing away with paper letters also supports sustainability.
Numerous applications
With the new module, housing companies and housing cooperatives can not only request payments from tenants quickly and easily – the payments are also posted directly and automatically in their ERP system, which saves further time. Currently, the function can be used for settling deposits, rent payments, cooperative fees or service charge arrears, among other things.
More features on the horizon
“Payment processing ties up considerable resources in the letting business. Larger portfolio holders in particular, who have thousands of tenants in arrears every month, will be noticeably relieved by the digital payment module. We are delighted that we can now offer our customers the benefits of digitalisation via our platform in the area of payments too,” says Immomio Managing Director Nicolas Jacobi. Like Immomio’s other products, the new module will be continuously developed in line with customer requirements. From April, its scope will also be extended with the smartMietkaution feature, which offers a digital alternative to the traditional cash deposit.
