If you rely on a digital process to allocate flats, you not only save time and money but also ensure fair tenant selection based on objective data. “First come, first served” or favours among acquaintances don’t stand a chance here. One challenge remains, however: even in the 21st century, not everyone is active in the digital world. To give these people a chance at their dream flat too, Immomio offers its customers the option of creating offline prospective tenants.
Even though digitalisation has become an integral part of our everyday lives and the use of digital services is rising steadily, there are still people today who have no internet access or email address of their own – for example older people or people with disabilities. To avoid excluding these groups from digital flat allocation, housing companies, housing cooperatives and property management companies need to find ways of combining digital and analogue processes. Immomio now offers its customers a new, convenient solution for achieving this.
Step by step – how to create an offline prospective tenant
- In Immomio, you can easily create an offline prospective tenant via the “Create new contact” field. Here you can select the contact’s status → Offline.
- Next, the prospective tenant’s search profile is recorded
- Once the search profile has been created, the legitimate interest is requested.
- Finally, the prospective tenant’s household information can be recorded. This step is optional.
The digital letting process with users without internet access
All manually recorded prospective tenants are integrated into the digital letting process at Immomio. Prospective tenants without internet access can also enter their details themselves, for example on a tablet in the landlord’s office. The agent recognises the user in the list of prospective tenants or in the search requests by the status Offline. The household information entered is used to include the offline prospective tenant in Immomio’s tenant matching. To send flat offers or appointment suggestions to users without internet or email access, landlords can follow the guidance provided throughout the process. They can also decide whether they want to contact the offline prospective tenants by phone or by post. Letters can be generated at the touch of a button and then sent by e-Post or by traditional post.
A fair chance for all prospective tenants
With the option of creating offline prospective tenants, landlords can make their letting process even fairer and don’t have to run labour-intensive parallel processes. With Immomio, they can now give every single prospective tenant a fair chance at their flat, whether online or offline – and even improve their service in the process.
