250 participants at the second ImmomioCon

ImmomioCon 2024

Hamburg, 18 April 2024: ImmomioCon 2024 took place in Hamburg on 16 and 17 April 2024, with around 250 decision-makers from the housing industry. Under the motto “360° WoWi” (WoWi being German shorthand for the housing industry), this year’s event by Hamburg-based Immomio GmbH focused on a combination of inspiration, networking and workshops – as well as engaging panel discussions and talks by industry experts. Speakers included Ingeborg Esser, Chief Executive of GdW Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs- und Immobilienunternehmen (the Federal Association of German Housing and Real Estate Companies), Stefan Bürger, Managing Director of GWH Immobilien Holding GmbH, and Dr Oliver Falk-Becker, Head of New Business Development and Startup Investment at Gewobag Wohnungsbau-Aktiengesellschaft Berlin.

ImmomioCon 2024

The second edition of ImmomioCon kicked off at 1 pm on 16 April in one of Hamburg’s most architecturally striking buildings, Hammerbrooklyn. The event was once again hosted by Alexandra Bredahl, Head of Sales & Marketing at Immomio. Following welcome addresses by Nicolas Jacobi, Managing Director of Immomio, and Andreas Otto, Chair of the Association Council of the Verband der Wohnungs- und Immobilienwirtschaft in Niedersachsen und Bremen e.V. (the housing and real estate association for Lower Saxony and Bremen), Martin Wolfrat of Art-Invest Real Estate Management GmbH & Co. KG took the opportunity to present the unique venue.

This was followed by panel discussions on “360° Vision: Investments outside the core business – between future strategy and risk” and “360° Building | Serial construction as an answer to the housing shortage?”. Dr Oliver Falk-Becker then gave a talk on “360° Innovation: WoWi trends – How digital is the housing industry?”. The official part closed with the presentation of a cheque to DESWOS. €10,000 had been raised in the joint Christmas campaign by Immomio and Immomio customers, and the sum was formally handed over at ImmomioCon. Participants spent the evening of the first day on the panorama deck of the Emporio Tower, with a 360-degree view over the rooftops of Hamburg – the perfect setting for celebrating and networking.

The second day was all about the event’s motto, “360° WoWi”. In numerous workshops – including some by Immomio partners such as Haufe, Aareon and Yarowa – participants developed valuable ideas for the housing industry’s digitalisation strategy until lunchtime. Fittingly, in one of the workshops Immomio became the first PropTech to receive the DigiWoh WowiTech certificate, awarded for its joint work with Familienheim Villingen-Schwenningen. DigiWoh, the digitalisation competence centre run by the housing industry for the housing industry, uses the award to recognise young, innovative companies that can demonstrate project experience in digitalisation in the housing industry.

After the lunch break, artificial intelligence speaker Bilal Zafar gave fascinating insights into AI in a one-hour keynote, providing many inspiring moments for the audience. Together with the farewell from Nicolas Jacobi and Alexandra Bredahl, it was a fitting end to a successful event. “We are delighted that, with 250 participants, around 50 more people came to the second ImmomioCon than last year. Talking to our customers in person is always a highlight for us,” says Nicolas Jacobi.
